http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ted/8818728.stm If Josh moves on, I wonder if Histon will send their man Pawley up to London Road to make sure every thing 'goes smoothly' in respect of their sell-on fee? Interesting. If what Histon are claiming is true then presumably they would not have been able to put in any sell-on as part of his "transfer" to Posh as it was only a "loan" and as such, at the end of the "loan" period, Simpson joined Posh as a free agent. The more you look at it, the more holes you can see in their lies and deceit. |

I see that Pawley gave his (COUGH) 'expert' opinion on Howard Webb's WC Final performance, to the media the other day. It's a shame someone doesn't give the media an 'expert' opinion on Roger Pawley's performance for the Cambs FA!!

I see from the official site we are playing them on July 31? Is this a friendly or a nonsense Cambs cup fixture?
Maybe the fans should protest at the game (peacefully!) and get some publicity for the way we are being ripped off by Histon. Maybe City fans should turn up with white tshirts with black lettering with the words 'Where's our money?' or 'Pay what you owe'..... |

I heard on BBC Radio today that Josh Simpson of Peterborough Utd is on trial at Southend?
NO MENTION of Josh Simpson of Histon currently on loan to Peterborough.............etc etc. I can't see the beeb not having the correct facts? Can I suggest a complete boycott of the Histon game? |

Leave the politics to the Board and get down and support your team . I am sure Gary Roberts and the players would appreciate that . Also CCFC get a share of the gate money.

Histon's ground is great for 'protesting' I have found. Whenever the U's have had a grievance with Histon or their heirachy then the bridge was theee place to go! I stood up there for the last 3 seasons at each juncture. It's a marvellous view too! You can see the whites of Managers eyes whilst in their dugouts and see all the heirachy mingling in the bar at half time. On this occasion it would be double bubble because this vantage point enables all the car park to be viewed as well as the Cambs FAs front door and offices...and car parking spaces!! The team can hear the singing too from the bridge as it is funnelled by the trees onto the pitch...an accoustic bliss actually! I've led the singing on occasion and it is marvellous! So all interests can be accomodated from the bridge when a need arises. Is that due now? I offer the following to assist in that decision: Football transfers have always been 'managed' by a few. Jez George...Gareth and erm...oh yeah Ling are wholly responsible for Uniteds 'dealings' now. The Kitson swindle was exposed by an 'outsider' to events. Other underhand deals were also exposed by 'outsiders'. Look at how the C&E are going for Harry...like was done with Al Capone...tax as opposed to the main 'offences'. I can't blame them either...how do you bring an industry and old boys network to account? You can't. It is known that certain individuals have been caught bang to rights frauding the fans and peoples money...but as the BBC found...nobody is 'big enuff' to do owt. The FA certainly aren't and explains why their heirachy spent time sha**ing each other and allow the few to sha* us all. As for the Cambs FA....and this recurring name 'Pawley'.....well....my considered view is.....he's an embarressment to all decent football loving folk in this locality....who have morals. The FA has been a haven for ineptitude...frolicking and fraudulent behaviour. I can cite numerous cases nationwide. Look at how the 'moral' conscience of the FA dealt with Sven...themselves...then Terry. They didn't. So it leaves room for siblings to push their limits too. Pawley and the Cambs FA escaped scrutiny over their role in the City ground sale theft. Their new building and how it was tendered...and where it was re-located too...also escaped scrutiny. I certainly found it incredible that an organisation who should be protecting football and its clubs deemed it fit to give our hard earnt funds donated to the Cambs FA given to a business whose 'agents' and associate companies had been convicted of frauding a football club in the Cambs FAs own patch...yeah really! On this occasion...I am glad Pawley was in the meeting. He needs to account for the following which my research has unearthed: A 30% 'sell on' was attached to the Simpson deal by City...not in dispute. A meeting took place at the Cambs FA headquarters. Barry Fry, Tony and his wife Julie Roach were present along with Roger Pawley, the Cambs FA's Chief Executive. His role was to advise and protect the Roach's naievity in such matters. An agreement was made of a 'loan transfer' for £20,000 + VAT. Gareth Baldwin drew up the document used for this transfer. The player would then go to Peterborough at the end of the season for 'free'. This was a mechanism used because the transfer window was closed. It was not done as a ruse to avoid paying City their due fee's. The fee gained by Histon was £20,000+ VAT and a cheque was written out IN FRONT OF ROGER PAWLEY for the amount. The Roach's gave the cheque to Alan Sorrell who banked it into Histons account. Subsequently City approached Histon for an update on the players situation. They were informed of the transfer and asked for an invoice for 30% of the amount achieved. This was done. No money was forthcoming and a further enquiry about the money took place. It was then stated by Histon officials that the agreement signed related only to any 'final' fee and not any intermediate amount. On that basis they are disputing the fee. The agreement has been scrutinised and it is clear that Gareth Baldwin had wrote 'any fees' into it which entitles City to their percentage ipso facto. Why not? I believe the agreement was written by Gareth with full intent to pay a percentage however the transfer was achieved. It is there in spirit throughout the document. I am sure he will confirm the 'spirit' was his intention. That is where the situation currently lies. On reflection then.....Roger....get a grip. Using mechanisms to achieve things and then using the same mechanism to rob folk...is absolutely wrong. Why say 'if' City are owed money? Did you not scrutinise the document yourself?...on behalf of these potentially vulnerable people the Roach's?...which is what you were there for by your own admission. Why not if not? How can you be so vague after the event? It is not time for fence sitting man....say it as it is and support those that deserve it....for once. Prevarication appears to be the real problem. Why Histon prevaricate is possibly understandable as they may not have that cash spare at present. If that is the case then sit and talk a way forward out to clear the bill...end of. I will advise all though....if anyone chooses to contest this document then it will be the same outcome. City's resolve has been tested in this area over the years...they will go legal with it i'm sure....and win. Histon cannot afford that ultimately either. So....a friendly chat needs to ensue betwixt folk so that this can be put to bed...betwixt the 3 clubs really as Gareth is now at united! The quicker the better. Equally...Roger Pawley needs to shut up and accept his kind offers of help around here aren't really appreciated anymore...by those who care about the 3 clubs anyway.....according to my research. SOOTY Disclaimer...my research has been based on discussions with 2 of the parties involved in the transfer meeting and with 2 of the 3 clubs 'officials' involved at a level that inspires confidence in my understanding of things. Gareths role is clear...he was trying to do right for all....the document espouses that throughout....I reckon. ![]() ...flippin' Boro still sending raiding parites 30 years on....pah...hehe!x |

Just realised I'm double booked! I'll be in Cottenham High St from 1pm onwards for a bike show during the day and then a rock band "Untamed" playing in the evening! I'll be playing some rock tunes during the day and early evening and doing a bit on the mic! Pop over before of after the match if you like? |
